etiquette-grolleau A nice vintage for a very nice maturity.With the "old vines effect", the grapes have given a fruity wine with an elegant roundness.

Vines & Grapes

Grape Variety : 100 % Grolleau
Age of Vines : 60 years olds
Soil Type : Altered metamorphic rock ( green metagraywacke) with a medium sandy silt at the ground level. Average depth of 85 cm.


Harvest : Hand-picking and destemmed harvest

Pressing : Long maceration (10 to 15 days) due to the excellent maturity of the grapes
Vinification : Malolactic fermentation then ageing in vat for 8 months.

Tasting Notes

Colour : Brilliant ruby red with dark reflections
Bouquet : Black fruit and spices.
Taste : Smooth attack with blackcurrant, licorice and cocoa in final
Serving Suggestions : Cold and red meats are excellent accompaniments to pair well with this Grolleau. Cheeses with slight fruits aromas will also match perfectly to highlight its notes of fruits.
